Goa Shipyard plans to establish a new shipbuilding facility at Jaigarh in Maharashtra
Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is planning to establish a new shipbuilding facility at Jaigarh in Maharashtra, as part of a broader strategy to expand capacity and support India’s ambition of becoming a major global shipbuilding nation. GSL has identified nearly 660 acres of intertidal zone land for the project and plans to appoint Germany’s Inros Lackner SE as the project consultant. The expansion is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to execute both defence and commercial shipbuilding orders while tapping growing global demand.
