A Mechanical Engineer from NIT Rourkela joined Indian Oil’s Marketing Division in 1985. Sh Nigam in his more than 33 years of service had worked in various functions of LPG, Operations & Supply and Distribution for Indianoil.
Presently with a tenure of more than 17 years, is the longest serving Supply Chain Executive not only for Indianoil but for country’s Oil Industry. He is All India Product Coordinator for India’s Oil Industry and has successfully implemented Green fuels in the country.
With his innovative initiative of RO – RO POL supplies to Tripura [ Loaded POL Tank Trucks on Flat bottom Railway Wagons] in 2016 highly acclaimed not only by Ministry of MoP&NG but also by Indian Railways board as one of its First type for POL logistics in the World. He has also many logistics innovative initiatives to his credit in converting existing Infrastructure capacities for increasing bottom-line for his company.
A Silver Medallist in Master’s Degree in International Marketing Management from University of Ljubiana, Slovenia, have been instrumental in development & implementation of “Primary Distribution Planning Model” & “Transport scheduler Model” which are presently in use for Optimization of Indian Oil’s Corporate Supply Chain.
As an All India Logistics Head of Indianoil, manages Supplies & Distribution for 85 Million tonnes of Petroleum from 11 Indianoil Refineries of 81 MMTPA capacity though 13,400 kms of Pipelines to Marketing & Distribution network of 47,800 touch points across the country.
Earlier on 27th Sep'12, he was awarded the "Supply Chain Professional of the Year- Oil & Gas", in 6th Express Logistic Supply Chain Conclave".
