About PT Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL):
PT Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL), is a Jakarta-based integrated logistics and transportation service provider for the mining industry in Indonesia.
Since inception in 2010, ABL has handled just over 100mil tons of coal.
ABL has trans-shipped 18.5mil tons of coal in 2018 and expects to handle 25mil tons in 2019 and 30mil tons in 2020 with a fleet of 6 owned and operated trans-shippers.
Along with parent company, ABL now also owns and operates 85 sets of barges which handle a volume of 8-9mil tons per annum.
Recently, ABL has ventured into port management with support of contracts for Jetty construction, dozer operation, and other port equipment and manpower.
ABL is diversifying into ocean going vessels for domestic as well as export shipments in Indonesia. This step goes along with the Indonesian Ministry of Trade (MOT) Regulation No 82/2017 which is going to oblige coal exporters to use Indonesian Shipping Transportation company for freight with effect from Feb 2020.
ABL is thus diversified and capable of handling all part of logistics from mine to Buyer.
ABL has launched a program to expand its network of operations in the Indonesian and international dry bulk shipping sector.
ABL management believes that existing as well as new reputable and reliable mining/ trading customers are willing to rely on its background and expertise for further market share.
ABL now serves 3 of the top 5 mining companies in Indonesia. It is due to these blue chip clients that ABL owes the success and diversification whilst maintaining the highest safety standards.
ABL has been shortlisted for “Safety in Bulk Handling” – award sponsored by DNVGL and “Bulk Logistics Excellence Award” by Solent in 2018.
