JAPANESE shipping giant MOL will levy a rate increase of US$500 per TEU on all cargo from Asia (excluding India and Malaysia) bound for Mexico and the west coast of Central and South America to ports in Chile, Peru, Columbia, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Guatemala from October 15.
MOL Liner will also levy a Malaysia to Mexico rate hike of $550 per TEU from October 15 to include the west coast of Central and South America on all cargo bound for Chile, Peru, Columbia, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Guatemala.
