The sad departure of Mr. S. R. Kulkarni plunges all India Port and Dock workers including the users into an untold sorrow in bereavement as He was always an accepted leader, orator and guide besides a positive thinker and an advocate of Port development. In recognition of the yeoman service he had rendered to the development in making the Mumbai Port as the most favored Port in India in Mumbai city financial capital till recently he remained a permanent Trustee of the Port till his illness prevented him to continue. He was All India Federation President and a very prominent and constant personality as a Trustee of Mumbai Port. He has the support of all workers who was always striving hard for their welfare and a fair play in revision of the wages. But for his efforts a number of issues would have remained contentious and unresolved.
The Port has been handicapped due to his prolonged illness that had incapacitated him. Veteran union leader Mr. S. R. Kulkarni is no more but his close association with Mumbai Port for many decades would remain forever. He passed away yesterday evening. MANSA Members have significant dealings with Mumbai Port; we would like to convey all our Members condolences to the family, associates and friends.
MANSA conveys its heartfelt condolences to all Port fraternity in this bereavement and pray for his soul to rest in peace.
