Dry Bulk FFA: Capesize FFAs on the Rise

FIS

Capesize FFA Commentary:
A positive day for the Cape FFA’s today as the physical market did not fall out of bed like some had previously speculated. This bought more buyers to the party. Volumes were thin and it could be merely a case of some end of week profit taking but overall rates were firmer and the outlook for next week is far from doom and gloom. Have a good weekend.

Panamax FFA Commentary:
We closed the week on a positive note on Panamax paper as an uptick in activity in both basins and a flattening index finally spurred on some improved buying as we broke out of the current range. We closed bid on at the weeks highs with gains the length of the curve as sellers thinned out. Have a good weekend.

Supramax FFA Commentary
Another day in which the Supramax paper market continued to flourish with bids as rates pushed higher throughout the day. Q2 reached $7875 almost $500 higher than yesterday. As a result the Cal 17 was also pushing as $7800 was printed. Have a good evening and a great weekend.

Handysize FFA Commentary
Another day in which the handysize paper remains supported but lacking activity. Have a good evening and a great weekend.
