THE Port of Singapore handled 2.95 million TEU in August, representing an increase of 10.1 per cent compared to the same month last year, according to data from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
In the first eight months of 2017, Singapore's throughput rose 7.5 per cent year on year to total 21.97 million TEU, reported Seatrade Maritime News of Colchester, Essex.
On a month-on-month basis, August's volumes were up 2.4 per cent compared to July's throughput of 2.88 million TEU.
