We had the privilege to interview Mr. Pradeep Rawat, Chairman, National Shipping Board. Capt. Virendra Mishra from The Shipping Tribune asked several questions which are currently affecting the Maritime Industry in India. Be it Government's priorities for the maritime industry, Unemployment issues of Deck Cadets and Junior Engineers, GST on Bunker Sales on Indian Coast, promotion of coastal shipping and transportation of goods through Inland Waterways, Mr. Rawat expressed NSB's vision. Mr. Pradeep Trimbak Rawat served in 13th Lok Sabha as MP from Pune. He was member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Information Technology from 2000 to 2004. He did his graduation in BA (English). He has taken charge as Chairman of National Shipping Board on 20 Sept 2017. He is also a Member of parliamentary committee for Commerce & Industry.
