JAPANESE shipping giant MOL has announced it will levy a general rate increase (GRI) on all cargo moving from Asia to the East Coast South America.
Starting February 1, the GRI will be US$500 for each TEU, FEU, and FEU high cube RAD (NOR) from Asia, including Indian subcontinent, to ports on the East Coast South America.
No reasons were given for the GRI in the company announcement.
