India's Crude Oil production in February fell about 2.4 percent from a year earlier to 2.73 million tonnes, while Natural Gas output dipped 1.5 percent to 2.48 billion cubic metres, provisional data issued by the government showed.
Refinery output rose by about 5.4 percent to 20.09 million tonnes during the month.
India produced 2.48 billion cubic metres of Natural Gas in February, which was 12.3% less than the target for the month and 1.5% lower year on year, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said in a press release.
India produced 29.87 bcm between April 2017 to February 2018, which was 6.7% lower than the government’s target but up by 2.5% year-on-year.
Most of India’s Natural Gas is produced by state companies including Oil & Natural Gas Corp. and Oil India Ltd.
