About Mr. Vishavdeep Gautam
Vishavdeep Gautam Joined SCI in 1995 as Junior Officer after completing his Master in Business Administration from Punjab Agricultural University.
He initially worked as commercial operator of tankers ranging from MR to VLCC, both owned & in-chartered by SCI. After serving as commercial officer for 5 years he worked as an Executive Assistant to the then Chairman and Managing Director of SCI Mr P K Srivastava. During his tenure as EA to CMD he was exposed to various aspects of Shipping business which inter-alia included Ship Financing, Project Management, P&I Renewals, Budgeting & Control, co-ordination with Governmental authorities and various divisions of SCI including overseas offices etc. During this period he also assisted Dr C P Srivastava, Secretary General Emeritus IMO and Chancellor Emeritus WMU, to write his book on World Maritime University. Thereafter he served as Chartering Officer in SCI handling all types of Tankers ranging from General Purpose to VLCC, both dirty and clean. In 2007 he left SCI and joined WOMAR and now works there as Chief Operating Officer. WOMAR is a privately held company which operates Chemical Tankers under its various pools and is 50 percent owned by BW Group.
