Ultra low sulfur diesel from East into Europe in Apr expected at 1.2-1.4 million mt

The volume of ultra low sulfur diesel shipping from East of Suez markets to the Mediterranean and Northwest Europe is currently expected at between 1.2 million mt and 1.4 million mt in April, according to data from S&P Global Platts trade flow software cFlow and market sources.

A relatively strong Singapore gasoil EFS and refinery maintenance in the Middle East kept volumes moving into Europe low over March, with this trend set to continue into April, traders said.

This lack of barrels has contributed to tightness in diesel markets in Northwest Europe and the Mediterranean which have firmed over March as demand starts to pick up following the winter low demand period.
