About Capt. Attar Singh

Capt. Attar Singh holds an MBA in Finance and brings over 30 years of comprehensive experience in supply chain management, with 17 years of commercial shipping expertise in the Indian cement, steel, and power sectors and 12 years of sailing on bulk carriers and tankers with renowned international owners including command of the vessels.

His diverse skill set encompasses dry bulk ship chartering, fleet commercial management, port operations, dredging projects, bunker management, commodity derivatives, shipping derivatives, marketing and sales, and marine project oversight. Known for his strong interpersonal abilities, teamwork, creative problem-solving, analytical mindset, negotiation prowess, and effective communication, Capt. Singh has earned numerous awards and accolades in the dry bulk segment and is recognized as a prominent industry personality.

He is a founding member of MTG and Mariner’s Ashiyana Society, an alumnus of CMMI and DRACEA, and a member of the Merchant’s Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Currently, Capt. Singh has joined us as SVP, tasked with overseeing and managing all aspects of the Dry Bulk Division. His responsibilities include developing and expanding the dry bulk business for the group, steering diversification and strategic direction, driving market expansion and business development, and ensuring operational excellence and financial performance. Additionally, he aims to enhance customer satisfaction through superior service delivery, build a competent team, and establish verticals such as Cargo Pool, Expertise Surveys, S&P, Broking, SCM, and CHA for the group.
