Capt. B. K. Tyagi Elected President of INSA for 2026–27
Capt. B. K. Tyagi, Chairman & Managing Director of The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. (SCI), has been elected as the President of the Indian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA) for the term 2026–27.
The election took place during the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of INSA, held on September 24, 2026.
Capt. Tyagi’s appointment brings his extensive experience in the Indian shipping sector to the leadership of INSA, which represents the interests of the Indian shipowning and maritime industry.
His tenure comes at a significant time for India’s maritime sector, with continued focus on strengthening the country’s shipping capabilities and supporting the growth and competitiveness of the Indian maritime industry.
