The Great Eastern Shipping Company has contracted to sell its 2011-built Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier Jag Aarati to an unaffiliated third party.
The vessel, with a capacity of about 80,324 deadweight tonnes, is scheduled to be delivered to the buyer in the fourth quarter of FY26.
Following the sale agreement, the company's owned fleet comprises 40 vessels, including 26 tankers and 14 dry bulk carriers, aggregating 3.32 million deadweight tonnes.
The tanker fleet includes six crude tankers, 16 product tankers and four LPG carriers, while the dry bulk segment consists of two Capesize, 10 Kamsarmax and two Supramax vessels.
Separately, the company has contracted to sell one Suezmax crude tanker, with the transaction expected to be completed in the third quarter of FY26. It has also contracted to buy one second-hand Ultramax dry bulk carrier, which is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of FY26.
