FreightBro Logistics has partnered with Port Of Wilhelmshaven, Germany, as their official digital partner with an aim to facilitate trade and digital transformation of shipping. Port Of Wilhelmshaven is the first port to be a part of FreightBro's official partner ecosystem that consists of all major shipping lines, transporters, insurance companies, trade, and finance entities. The partnership promises both Port of Wilhelmshaven and FreightBro access to each other’s market and connection with stakeholders in respective countries. Shipping through Port of Wilhelmshaven will prove to be lucrative for forwarders on the FreightBro platform.

Neelam Choudhary, Indian Representative for Port of Wilhelmshaven stated, “We see this association as a great opportunity to reach out to a whole new customer base on the digital platform in India. The partnership comes as a welcome initiative at a juncture when the industry is experiencing a significant shift from traditional ways of shipping and logistics to modern and digitized methods.”

V Anand Babu, Head of Partnerships & Co-founder, FreightBro, expressed, “We are glad to have partnered with Port of Wilhelmshaven as this will be an exciting opportunity for us to explore the waterfront terminals & ports to enhance & implement digitization and automation in the freight forwarding industry."

Port Of Wilhelmshaven is Germany’s only deep-water port situated between the river Ems and Wesern. It is a significant central transshipment location for bulk commodities such as petroleum products, chemical products, coal, and crude oil. Wilhelmshaven’s significance as a port is of paramount importance as it ensures a secure energy supply in Germany.

FreightBro is India’s first freight forwarder facing platform aimed at revolutionizing the trillion-dollar forwarding industry through digitization of the manual processes in logistics. It provides a digital platform to freight forwarders that enables them to procure rates faster, reduce operational inefficiencies, boost sales, make informed decisions using data analytics and thereby provide a seamless user experience.

The partnership deal, inked in June-end, will strengthen the trade relations between India and Germany.
