Supramax Freight Rates:

1. East Kalimantan to Navlakhi (West Coast India):
   • Estimated rate for a 55,000 mt coal cargo from East Kalimantan to Navlakhi on Aug 5: $ 18.50/mt, down 55 cents/mt from Aug. 4.

1. East Kalimantan to Paradip (East Coast India):
   • Estimated rate for a 55,000 mt coal cargo from East Kalimantan to Paradip on Aug 5: $ 15.90/mt, down 40 cents/mt from Aug. 4.

1. Persian Gulf to Paradip:
   • Estimated rate for a 50,000 mt limestone cargo from Mina Saqr in the UAE to Paradip on Aug 5: $ 17.05/mt, down 20 cents/mt from Aug. 4.

          4.   South Africa to Navlakhi:

• • Estimated rate for a 50,000 mt coal cargo from RBCT to Navlakhi on Aug 5: $ 24.30/mt, down 45 cents/mt from Aug. 4. 

Panamax Freight Rates:

1. East Australia to Paradip:
   • Estimated rate for a 75,000 mt (plus/minus 10%) metallurgical coal cargo from Hay Point to Paradip on Aug 5: $ 20.70/mt, down 40 cents/mt from Aug. 4.

1. Indonesia to Krishnapatnam (East Coast India):
   • Estimated rate for a 75,000 mt (plus/minus 10%) thermal coal cargo from Banjarmasin to Krishnapatnam on Aug 5: $ 10.80/mt, down 20 cents/mt from Aug. 4.

1. Indonesia to Dahej  (West Coast India):
   • Estimated rate for a 75,000 mt (plus/minus 10%) thermal coal cargo from Banjarmasin to Dahej on Aug 5: $ 11.95/mt, down 25 cents/mt from Aug. 4.

1. South Africa to Paradip:
   • Estimated rate for a 75,000 mt (plus/minus 10%) thermal coal cargo from Richards Bay Coal Terminal to Paradip on Aug 5: $ 18.45/mt, down 30 cents/mt from Aug. 4.

Asia-Pacific Supramax freight rates fell on Aug. 5.

Bunker prices, on the other hand, observed significant losses from the previous session.

On the Indonesia-India coal route, indicative offers in the range of high-$18/mt to $19/mt were also heard for moving a 55,000 mt +/- 10% coal

from East Kalimantan province to Navlakhi for Aug. loading dates.

Fixing information, however, was scant on the coal route Aug. 5.

Trading information was scant out of the Persian Gulf on Aug. 5.

Out of South Africa, market sentiment softened amid a lack of demand growth, while fixing information also remained fairly muted over the day.

Asia-Pacific Panamax freight rates trended lower on Aug. 5 as the Pacific basin saw a standoff between shipowners and charterers.

Freight derivative rates were largely rangebound during Asian trading hours, while bunker prices posted notable losses on the day.

Among Australian cargoes, a 75,000 mt +/-10% metallurgical coal from DBCT to Vizag and Haldia for Sept. 7-16 laycan was heard to be in the market.

Trading information remained fairly limited on the Indonesia-India coal route Aug. 5.

Out of the Indian Ocean, a charterer was heard in the market with a 75,000 mt +/-10% iron ore pellets from Dhamra to China for Aug. 21-30 laycan.
