UAE mega container ship collided with French fishing vessel, English Channel
Container ship AIN SNAN EXPRESS collided with French fishing vessel CORAIL at around 2330 UTC Aug 9 in Ouessant Traffic Separation Zone some 40 nm west of Ushant (Ouessant) island, while sailing south, en route from Southampton to Suez. Fishing vessel’s bow was badly damaged, flooded, but CORAIL managed to return to Lorient under own power. AIN SNAN EXPRESS suffered hull breach 6x1 meter, 3.5 meter above waterline, and resumed voyage
